State Preschool is a comprehensive child development program, serving low-income children and families.  It is funded by the California Department of Education and operated by San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) at various elementary school campuses throughout San Bernaridino County.

SBCSS does not discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic group identification, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, mental or physical disability in determining which children are served and does not engage in religious instruction or worship.

State Preschool is a free 3-hour program, Monday through Friday to eligible families.  Each classroom is licensed by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.

Program Philosophy
Our philosophy is to regard each child with respect and dignity in a safe and nurturing hands-on learning environment, which allow for each child to develop self-esteem and therefore self-discipline.

Parents as a child's first teacher are essential in promoting self-esteem and creating a partnership in learning.
